DYLAN Simplified: how you can help
Tue, 02/06/2007 - 22:53 — David GrattonI am gettting a lot of people contacting me on what this project is really about. "It's too confusing," they say. I totaly get that. The technical gibberish is confusing for me, too.
So here is, what I hope to be, a simple explanation, and it should provide better focus for non-techies to participate in this project.
For me DYLAN is about answering the following question:
Why would I buy Pink Floyd's, Dark Side of the Moon again?

Welcome to the DYLAN project: part of the XIPF initiaive
Tue, 02/06/2007 - 11:56 — David GrattonOur goal is to have a functioning spec for music packages in less than 6 months. Although Project Opus is leading this project, the specification will be OPEN. So anyone interested in particpating in this project is welcome. This is also your invitation to offer criticism openly and hopefully constructively.
This project is not just for technologists. As this project is about music and other media, we would actively seek the input of musicians, music labels, visual artists, and fans.
